How important is explaining results in a lab report?
A lab report should not only show what happened but also explain what the results might mean. During one experiment, I considered write my lab report for me and started paying more attention to how results should be discussed. I found that comparing my findings with the expected outcome helped me write a stronger discussion section. It also made me think more carefully about possible errors.
